Setting up Classments
Setting Up Points-Based Omnium or Special Classments in RaceDay
Managing a points-based event or tracking special Classments like KOM/QOM or Sprints is quick and simple using RaceDay. Follow these four steps, located under the Results dropdown menu.
Step 1: Set Up Classments Categories
- RaceDay includes four pre-loaded options: KOM/QOM, Sprints, Finish, and Payout.
- Use the Payout option for one-day events or GC payouts for multi-day events.
- Add new categories as needed.
Step 2: Configure Classments
- Tie Classments to the selected Classments Category. For example:
- For a one-day event, use Finish.
- Tie multiple Classments (e.g., Finish, Sprint 1, Sprint 2) to a single Classments Category to track diverse points or times.
Step 3: Set Up Points/Time Schedule
- Stage Selection: Specify if the event is single or multi-stage.
- Category Selection: Choose the category to set up points/times for.
- Classment Dropdown: Select the Classment to edit.
- Build the Table: Click Add to create a table for points, times, or both.
- Enter the values and save.
- Use the option to copy the setup across categories or stages as needed.
- Save: Finalize the points/times schedule by clicking Save.
Step 4: Assign Points/Times to Athletes
- Select the category, stage, and Classments as required.
- Assign points/times by Bib Number:
- Manually enter bib numbers or
- Use Populate Bibs from Results (recommended).
- Save the entries when prompted.
Final Step: Generate Reports
- Navigate to the Reports dropdown to access tools for managing points, times, or results.
- Use the reporting tools to print summaries for tracking and event management.
