Results Basic Overview
Results
This section provides the tools to manage event results effectively. Let’s face it results can be complicated Raceday makes it easier to manage, reach out to support if you have questions about your event.
Results (Manual Entry)
Common Page Terms

BIB #: A unique identifier for the athlete in this category.

KOM/QOM: Enter results for King or Queen of the Mountain awards if applicable.

Sprints: Record sprint results if applicable.

Best Young Rider: Record results for Best Young Rider awards.

Penalties: Record any time penalties for athletes.
-
Reason for Penalty: Specify the reason for penalties.
-
Hold Time: Use for entering multiple athletes with the same time.
-
Final Time: Record the clock time when the athlete crosses the finish line.

Place: Specify the athlete’s position at the finish line.
-
No Time Reason: Choose from a dropdown why an athlete has no recorded time or place.

Intermediate Bonus: Enter awarded time bonuses if applicable.
Note: Use Meta Data Management to hide unnecessary entry boxes.
Entering Results
RaceDay 2.0 simplifies results entry using a split-screen interface:

Step-by-Step Process

Select the category and stage (if multi-stage) you want to score.

Choose the athlete to score:

Type the BIB number in the BIB box and hit Enter.

Double-click an athlete in the Un-Scored section.

Enter time in the Final Time box:
-
Example: For 2 hrs 15 min 20 sec, type
21520

For tenths of a second, type
21520.125

If a Category Start Time is set, the Duration (race time) is automatically calculated.

The athlete moves from Un-Scored to Scored. Double-click to update details if necessary.

Use the No Time Reason dropdown for athletes still in the Un-Scored section.
Mass Entry Option
Highlight multiple athletes (use Shift for multiple selections) to assign DNS, DNF, DNP, or DQ statuses.

Results Management (Timing System)
Importing Results

Supported File Types:

LIF File: From Lynx cameras.

Standard Time Format
Time must be formatted as 00:00:00.000
(including the period for tenths of a second).
Adjusting Timing Format
If times cross a timing format boundary (e.g., 59:32 vs. 1:01:02), adjust the winner’s time to match the format.
Results List
Features

View and manage all entered results.

Stage Results: Filter results by single or multi-day stages.

Category Results: Filter results by category.

Athletes without results (DNS, DNF, DQ, DNP) appear in red for quick identification.
Managing Time Cuts

Time Cut: Default is 20%; adjustable via options.

Actions:

Clear: Reset time cut.
-
Test: Preview affected athletes.
-
Set: Finalize time cut athletes as Over the Time Limit (OTL).

Reset: Revert OTL statuses.

Individually set OTL for highlighted athletes.

Publishing Live Results
Publish results to:

RaceDay Events Software website.

Event website (if applicable).
Results List GC
For stage races, view overall event standings by time (stage race) or points (omnium).
Results List BYR GC (Best Young Rider)
Displays riders competing in the Best Young Rider category, based on age settings (default: Under 23).
Team GC Candidates
Details coming soon.
Results List Team GC
Calculates the Best Team based on the top three riders per stage. Ensure team names are consistent using the Consolidate Team Name option under Event Participation.
Import LIF Results

Select: Choose the stage and category.

Select LIF File: Locate and open the LIF file.

Riders appear in black if data matches.

Riders in red indicate missing details (e.g., LIF Cat, LIF Lic#, LIF Bib).
